娜塔莉长途旅行结束，一进家门就看见丈夫为她准备的花束，十分高兴。但是，娜塔莉发现丈夫兰迪坐在沙发里，一动不动。她轻轻碰触丈夫，丈夫就变为灰烬。在另一家医院里，一只苍蝇落在一个女患者的脸上，女患者的脸瞬间变成灰烬。菲利普和奥利维娅赶到现场后，看到这惊悚的场面，想起了4年前的往事。俄罗斯宇航员阿历克斯神秘失踪，并且带走了一样东西。菲利普打电话给阿历克斯的弟弟帝模，让他交出哥哥，自己可以帮助他的哥哥。帝模的电话一直处于通话状态，令警方很快就找到了帝模和他的哥哥阿历在斯，但是让人惊恐的是，帝模也变成了灰烬。阿历克斯躺在车里，气息奄奄。沃尔特举起电击棒，电击阿历克斯。只见一个阴影从容走进阿历克斯的身体，菲利普迅速开枪打死阿历克斯。原来，从外太空回来之后，阿历克斯带来一个生物，此生物把阿历克斯当成宿主，根本无法分开。而他们为什么要让阿历克斯带来这个生物?这是国家机密，连菲利普都找不到答案。
