一抢在音乐厅救治一位外籍老指挥，老指挥家不肯解释治疗，他身患绝症却坚持要继续工作。这也触动了同样执着工作的大治。寻找又白又胖戴眼镜老医生的老病人又来了，他讲起那位医生"七进七出"救自己父亲的经历。大治想到白主任，老人也认出白中原就是自己要找的人。白主任因为得了糖尿病而变瘦了，眼镜也换成隐形的。大治感受到一位急救医生的崇高，他拒绝了晁院长的邀请……巧巧用自己的经历开导小雨，给了小雨美好的希望。得知今天是小雨的生日，巧巧匆忙跑出去给她买蛋糕……朱邈和安菁来到电影院，才知道是巧巧故意安排的约会。两人一起看电影，还去吃饭。但是话题一直没离开巧巧。安菁发觉朱邈心里还是有巧巧……安菁告诉朱邈，如果真的爱着巧巧，就该去告诉她。

巧巧在买蛋糕途中遇到"痴呆症"老播音员，送老人回家，老人却不放她走。朱邈赶回中心，却找不到巧巧，他给巧巧打电话。大雨中，巧巧拿着蛋糕过马路，接手机电话，被一辆飞速的汽车撞倒……

在医院看护的老马发觉母亲记忆混乱，出现老年痴呆的初期症状。这令老马和妻子非常忧虑。林洁被白主任狠狠地批评了，她由于女儿的事情近期的工作常有失误，再加上项志强要状告她，更是雪上加霜。朱邈一直没找到巧巧，社会工作者来给巧巧联系"认领人"，但是小雨的年龄偏大，不太好安排。安菁哭着回到中心，和大治说起巧巧的病情，巧巧还在昏迷不醒……
