龙飞决定在日军守卫最薄弱又最危险的机场跑道进攻。黑马团的骑兵们整装待发，这些敢死队员要带着炸药包冲进停机坪炸毁机场，龙飞决定自己带领敢死队，韩德功在外接应，韩德功不同意，说自己是主帅理应冲在前面。龙飞让马瑛嫀告诉已经带领敢死队做好准备的韩德功集团军来了急电，骗走了他，自己指挥敢死队冲进了停机坪，韩德功在外用炮火掩护，大喊：要活着回来，让我治你的罪。枪林弹雨间，敢死队员们毫不畏惧的冲向前，旋风摔掉龙飞，带领马匹将炸药挂上机翼，炸药引爆，折龙口机场成功炸毁，龙飞淹没在火海中，众人悲痛万分。龙飞身受重伤，枪弹离心脏很近，医生建议转到后方治疗修养。韩德功很是痛心，坐在他的病床边，跟他念叨，祈求他好好活下去。韩德功让尕马子护送龙飞转移到皋兰，还给他带了一箱大洋，请温俪涵一路照顾，张磊却事先将马瑛嫀支到一营采访，想让韩德功近水楼台先得月，韩德功却不想用这种手段。集团军命令黑马团向鲁安北转移，实施机动作战。得知上当的马瑛嫀很生气，独自骑马赶上了龙飞的队伍。韩德功觉得马瑛嫀回到相对安全的皋兰更好，相信自己会成为马瑛嫀心中真正的英雄。马瑛嫀感激温俪涵曾经救过自己，对她的敌意消失了，但她依然执着对龙飞的爱恋，当着温俪涵也没有丝毫隐瞒，幻想自己一路追随能成为龙飞的爱人。因为工作纪律，温俪涵无法像正常女人那样追求个人情感，她只能要求马瑛嫀为了龙飞的安危，不要宣扬他和红军的关系。旋风在机场被炸中竟然活了下来，它逃到林中，却被日军抓住送到了军马场。一众土匪在夜里端了日军岗哨，准备拉走马匹，一队日军赶到，三当家掩护众人逃走，日军当着百姓们吊死了老三，愤怒的大当家及众土匪一定要为三当家报仇。此时，龙飞等人经过，被土匪拦住了。
