德妃娘娘为遏制四阿哥采取一系列计谋。

金枝得知四阿哥私会晴川。

宫女冰莲因为私会大表哥被管事嬷嬷惩罚，她也不甘心呆在太庙等死，决定和晴川一起出逃。

晴川假装被如冰欺负，赶走了同室的如冰，又换回和冰莲同室居住，两人在一起商议如何成功逃离太庙。

晴川和冰莲一起把制出的硫酸撒在地宫的气孔周围，想以硫酸腐蚀墙角挖开地洞逃跑，不料却被巨石堵住，只得另寻他法。

冰莲设计勾引负责太庙保卫工作的侍卫总管，趁机用头上的发簪刺进侍卫的动脉并威胁他不要动，只要自己拔出发簪，他就会流血过多而死。

一边晴川也在找机会闹事，她假口对饮食不满而掀翻桌子，正哄闹间冰莲带着侍卫来到，控制了局面。

两人押着侍卫总管刚刚走到太庙的门口准备离去，却被管事嬷嬷带领一干侍卫乱箭齐射。她根本不在乎侍卫的死活。

侍卫总管带领他们撤到地宫，说他有办法离开，并触动了机关。地宫马上要塌陷的一刹那，侍卫冒死送出了晴川。

巴蜀和四川一带发生地震，四阿哥上奏让太子去募捐，又给太子出了主意如何让百姓心甘情愿拿出银子。在他心里，只想如何陷害太子。
