那珠发现了二爷杀死的彝医，逼问下，二爷告诉了大爷的真实病情。二爷和大总管相互猜忌，防着彼此争夺王位。正当云寨部落又要去争斗时，奢香赶到，两头一番劝解，化解了两个部落的仇怨并解决了水源问题，两个部落的彝人都感激这位奢香夫人。阿离的仆人到乌撒通风报信，说奢香跑了，霭翠也晕倒了，诺哲大喜道，乌撒的机会到了。那珠去看望霭翠，没想霭翠病榻之上念念不忘奢香，那珠伤心离去。大总管来找二爷，一起商议如何把阿离嫁给霭翠，并说出了二爷想做君长的心事，二爷不肯实话，这时大总管果瓦说出了发现彝医尸体的事，二爷怒视果瓦。大管家道出了二爷心里所想，威逼说一旦霭翠一时死不了，奢香再有了王子，那么权杖就未必是格宗的了。果瓦希望二爷帮他让君长休奢香取阿离，奢香亲大明，以免水西变成汉人的水西。巴合木前去找钦使马烨谈条件，表明只要钦使答应他将来做西南王，他将归顺大明。马烨暗示巴合木，他只要结果，这次谈话并未发生。巴合木回去后调集部队，巴根发现军营异常，回禀巴扎瓦尔弥。巴扎瓦尔弥责巴根不与巴合木一心，派人去落实。此时马烨已翻墙逃走，巴合木的计划自然落空。巴根押解说出实情的将领到巴扎瓦尔弥面前，巴扎瓦尔弥知情后，一怒之下将巴合木关入死牢，巴根也因擅自拿兵符被拿下。梁王府一片混乱。
