果然，秦根畅(齐奎 饰)向老项说明计划后，老项决定自己去通知红军，好有机会去通知刘清扬(舒砚 饰)，老项走后，秦根畅拿出证据向梁宁和陈运生证明老项就是叛徒，梁宁等人起初绝不相信，秦根畅只能向二人合盘托出秘密文件的下落，梁宁等人选择信任秦根畅。秦根畅派其他同志通知部队与鲁耀轩(张力 饰)交易地点，并特别嘱咐一定要避开老项的耳目。另一方面吩咐陈运生，要他偷入鲁宅，趁鲁耀轩刺杀张梦九(赵春阳 饰)的同时，偷出已经被张梦九得到的那一半宝藏。同时秦根畅还安排戏班众人把宝藏藏在戏班的车上带出城，用于和鲁耀轩交易。秦根畅连夜找到鲁耀轩，告诉他张梦九已经得知了他们刺杀的计划，和鲁耀轩商议第二天出城后封锁锁阳的大小通道，防止张梦九逃跑。秦根畅还告诉李子健张梦九出城劫夺宝藏的部队肯定是方凯华率领，李子健眼见替老板娘报仇的机会到来，喜不自胜。张梦九分派手下办事，但自己却偷偷的化妆成小兵，离开锁阳，原来这只老狐狸早就为自己准备好了退路。秦为成探听到这个消息，告诉秦根畅，秦根畅将计就计一方面发电报给鲁耀轩张梦九化妆出城，让鲁耀轩拦截，另一方面，让陈运生化妆秦为成混入鲁宅。老项带着红军战士和鲁耀轩部下交易，交易完成，没想到战士们却选择了另外的路离开，老项为了拖延红军运输队，命令部队停止前进。结果被方凯华的部队追上，老项劫持了运输部队的领导，要红军投降，他叛徒的身份暴露了。
